What are the system requirements for Android?

Japanese for Android runs best on Android 7 "Nougat" (released September 2016), but is backwards compatible all the way back until Android 5 "Lollipop" (released November 2014). An internet connection is not required. All content is available offline.

How do I turn on/off romaji on flashcards?

To turn on/off romaji on the frontside of a flashcard, just flip the switch on Entry Headword in the 'Romaji Settings' section of the app.

I’ve found a bug, how can I report it?

Japanese has a built-in tool to provide bug reports, crash reports and to give general feedback. Go to 'Help' in the menubar and select Contact Customer Support.

Please provide as much info as possible, every detail counts and, if possible, send us a backup of your data. Sometimes bugs are related to specific data and we may need to inspect your data to provide a suitable fix. You can create a backup of your data in the app.
